About Our Special Guest

Country artist John King has a talent for singing music that expresses the human experience, from growing up to falling in love. Known for his debut single “Tonight Tonight,” which was featured on the NFL’s Thursday Night Football on CBS, he is not just a singer but a remarkable songwriter. He co-wrote Randy Houser’s #1 hit “We Went,” a collaboration with Justin Wilson and Matt Rogers that earned him his first ASCAP Songwriter Award in 2016. This song not only topped the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay Charts but also showcased King’s ability to craft a compelling narrative through his lyrics.

In addition to his collaboration with Randy Houser, King has also worked with the iconic band Hootie and The Blowfish. He penned their first song, “Rollin,” released since 2005, which is featured on their new album, “Imperfect Circle.” This collaboration further solidifies King’s position in the country music scene, demonstrating his versatility and talent. King’s music video for “I Still Pick Up” was voted Top 10 on the CMT countdown, and his single, “Try Saying Goodbye,” was named one of Rolling Stone’s Top 10 Country Songs.
